Come join the staff and Friends of the Yorkville Public Library as they culminate their yearlong celebration with a large 100th birthday party bash on Dec 4, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:30 with refreshments, balloons, face painting, crafts, photo ops, and a grand prize drawing of electronic tablets.
The library kicked off their yearlong celebration in January of 2015 with a continental breakfast and history program and presentation. Throughout the year they have had special events and activities all leading up to the 100th birthday party.
In looking to the future and another 100 years of service, the library is always aiming to grow their patron base and increase community involvement in the library. The library strives at keeping up with the community’s expectations and staying relevant in ever changing technology and different platforms of media delivery. They are excited to see what the next 100 years will bring.
