Yorkville’s 2019 Flags of Valor Honors Veterans

YORKVILLE, IL—With Veterans Day fast approaching, the Yorkville American Legion Post 489 invites the public to honor our nation and veterans who’ve served by sponsoring an American flag. Donations are also currently being accepted.

The flags will be displayed at Town Square during the week of Veterans Day as part of the 2019 Yorkville Flags of Valor.

A flag can be sponsored for $30 per flag and will include a keepsake ribbon and option to personalize a tag in honor of a veteran.

Visitors can view the flags at 301 North Bridge in Yorkville starting Monday, Nov.4 - Monday, Nov.11.

Ribbons and tags will then be mailed to designated address listed on form the week following Veterans Day.

The Yorkville American Legion Post 489 encourages the community to pay tribute to veterans by visiting Town Square Park from now and through Veterans Day as all sponsored flags will line the park near the memorial.
