Yorkville Ward IV Alderman Position Opening

YORKVILLE, IL — Yorkville city officials announced an opening in the Ward 4 Alderman seat during a Wednesday night City Council meeting. The city said those who live in Ward 4 and are interested in serving as an alderman through April 2019 can fill submit an application form now through Friday, Sept. 28.

Applications can be found online and should be submitted to Mayor Golinski at 800 Game Farm Road, Yorkville, IL, 60560.

Qualifications, according to the city website:

• You have resided within the municipal boundaries of the United City of Yorkville for at least one year preceding the date of appointment.
• You must not owe the city any money, nor have been convicted in any court of any infamous crime, bribery, perjury, or other felony.

According to the online position description, the appointed term expires at the end of April 2019.
