Yorkville Woman Wanted For Burglary Apprehended In Louisiana: KCSO

The 35-year-old woman was wanted for three felony charges of residential burglary, burglary and theft stemming from an Oct. 6 incident.

YORKVILLE, IL — A 35-year-old Yorkville woman wanted for multiple felony charges was apprehended in Louisiana, officials said Monday.

Ancuta Covaliu, of the 10000 block of Lisbon Road in unincorporated Yorkville, was wanted out of Kendall County for residential burglary, burglary and theft.

The incident stems from an Oct. 6 burglary in the 11000 block of Lisbon Road. After an investigation was launched, law enforcement officials determined Covaliu to be a suspect, according to Deputy Dan Briars at the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.

Covaliu was taken into custody in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, by members of the United States Marshals Western District of Louisiana Fugitive Task Force. She is currently being held at the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office's jail on a bond set at $250,000, with 10 percent to apply.
