What officials are saying after an accidental spill from a Tipton food processing plant turned Cicero Creek white.

TIPTON, IN — Tipton County Emergency Management officials say a Central Indiana creek is back to its normal color after an accidental milk spill Tuesday at a food processing business turned the body of water white. Officials said the State Road 19 bypass was closed between Ash/Jefferson and 100 West as crews worked to clean up the Sept. 12 milk spill in the Cicero Creek.

A post on TCEM's Facebook page said officials from several departments worked in a group effort in response to the accidental spill, including Tipton Fire Department, Tipton Police Department, Tipton County EMA and Tipton Wastewater and Utilities.
