• June 2: Sheets Family Park officially open to the public (fwbusiness.com) — Sheets Family Park next to the Steuben County YMCA is now fully open in Angola, with water features ready for families as warm weather arrives. After more than a decade of planning, community donations and support from Trine University, Cameron Health, and the city of Angola helped turn the Sheets family’s vision into a new gathering place for all ages. 
• North Sweeps 2026 Indiana ‘Futures' All-Star Games (statelinesportsnetwork.net) — An Angola standout made big news statewide as Kendall VanderWal earned MVP honors while leading the North girls to a 124–93 win in the Indiana Futures All-Star Game. The boys’ North squad also won, capping a strong night for northern Indiana basketball.
