• May 12: YMCA of DeKalb County receives $100,000 grant for child care (fwbusiness.com) — Auburn families could soon see significantly more child care options as the YMCA of DeKalb County secures a $100,000 United Way grant to staff 14 new classrooms at its expanding Early Learning Center. Once complete, the Auburn-based site will become the tri-state’s largest single-location child care center, boosting capacity to serve up to 436 children daily and easing long waitlists for working parents.
