• Avon man charged after allegedly molesting, taking pictures of young girls (wthr.com) — An Avon man has been charged in Hendricks County with child molesting, child exploitation, and voyeurism after investigators say they found hidden-camera images of underage girls, including relatives. The case began with a DCS report in 2025 and includes detailed interviews with the victim, family members, and the suspect, who denies inappropriate contact. 
• Potter Interns gain hands-on experience (iu.edu) — An Indiana University student from Avon spent the summer in a competitive Potter Internship, gaining hands-on lab and field experience in environmental geoscience alongside state survey professionals. The program, which has already led some interns to full-time jobs, shows how Avon students can access advanced research, mentoring, and career-building opportunities in geology and museum work across Indiana.
