Excessive rainfall causing flooding across 21Country (21alivenews.com) — Bluffton has been hit with about 4.5 inches of rain, causing flooding, road closures, and dangerous travel across Wells County this morning. Several school districts are closed, and a flash flood warning with elevated risk remains in effect as more rain is possible through early afternoon. 
2. Bluffton Lowe's to host ‘Bucket Brigade' Monday to help residents impacted by recent flooding (21alivenews.com) — Bluffton residents dealing with recent flooding can pick up free cleanup buckets at Lowe’s on North Main Street this Monday starting at 9 a.m. Each bucket includes water, flashlights, trash bags, sponges, goggles, and sanitizer, with more than 325 available while supplies last. Shoppers can also round up purchases to support disaster relief charities.
3. Wells Co. officials call on volunteers for more sandbagging as weekend rain threatens Bluffton (21alivenews.com) — Bluffton has already seen 8 to 10 inches of rain, and Wells County officials say more weekend rainfall could worsen flooding, especially along the river. After filling about 15,000 sandbags Thursday, they’re urgently asking residents to volunteer for more sandbagging and to call 2-1-1 if they need assistance. Stay alert as conditions may deteriorate before improving.

Brittany Flores, 35 (news-banner.com) — Friends and former customers in Bluffton are remembering Brittany Dawn Nicole Messina Flores, who once worked as a housekeeper and waitress at a local pancake house and Millie’s Restaurant. The energetic, faith-filled mother of four died Sept. 8 at age 35, and a time of remembrance is planned at Millie’s Restaurant on Oct. 17.
