• Marlin Whitney (1935 (thevillagereporter.com) — Butler residents may know the family of Marlin Lee Whitney, whose daughter Lura Shuman lives in Butler. Whitney, a 90-year-old Navy retiree and Edgerton High School graduate, passed away April 11; visitation and services will be held April 22 in Edgerton, Ohio, with burial to follow at Arlington National Cemetery.
