Adults Skate Free On Groundhog's Day: Carmel Ice At Center Green
If you're happy about it or not, you can thank Punxsutawney Phil and his shadow for free adult ice skating at Carmel's Ice At Center Green.
CARMEL, IN -- Unless you love winter, many aren't ecstatic about there being six more weeks of it thanks to Punxsutawney Phil seeing his shadow this morning. Because of this, Carmel's Ice at the Center Green wants to brighten your day, as the city has announced adults skate for free today from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Winter is here to stay for a bit, or so the legend says, so you may as well enjoy it with some free ice skating.
The Ice at the Center Green was originally supposed to close when Carmel's Christkindlmarket closed on Dec. 24 for the season, but the city announced the rink would stay open until Jan. 7. Looks like it's open even longer, so head out there if you haven't experienced the skating fun.
