• Safety upgrades for pedestrians coming to 86th Street (wthr.com) — A Carmel cyclist is among those weighing in as Indianapolis redesigns the dangerous 86th Street and Monon Trail crossing with a new straight-through crosswalk, pedestrian signals, and a protective median island. The multi-year project, finishing in 2027 with further upgrades planned through 2029, aims to cut crashes and make a key north-side corridor safer for trail users and drivers alike. 
• Brownsburg students tie for top ILEARN ranking (youarecurrent.com) — Carmel Clay Schools tied with Brownsburg Community School Corp. for the top combined ILEARN English and math proficiency rate in Indiana, with 61.7 percent of students proficient in both subjects. While Carmel outperformed Brownsburg in each individual subject, Brownsburg edged slightly higher in combined percentage under the state's newly redesigned assessment model.
