• Young and Peters introduce bill to expand roundabout funding for traffic safety (northindynews.com) — Carmel's extensive roundabout network is being held up in Congress as a national model, with Indiana Senator Todd Young co-sponsoring a bill to expand federal funding for similar projects. The proposal would let more communities use federal transportation grants to build roundabouts, citing Carmel's sharp reductions in injury crashes and overall accidents since the late 1990s.
