Kids bookstore to open next month in downtown Carmel (youarecurrent.com) — A new kids-focused bookstore, Kids Ink Books, is opening Oct. 15 in downtown Carmel's Arts & Design District, sharing space with Carmel-based toy shop Rock-A-Toy. Owners plan regular storytimes, local author visits, and literacy outreach while tailoring hours to the Carmel market, giving local families a fresh spot for children's books and handmade gifts.

For Carmel residents, it confirms that advanced cardiac care close to home ranks among the best in the country for safety, outcomes, and patient satisfaction.
   

3. THE ZONE: Scores and Highlights – September 25, 2026 (wrtv.com) — Carmel football fans can catch highlights from the Greyhounds' matchup at North Central and hear head coach Kevin Wright's thoughts in a special coaches corner segment. The Zone's latest episode showcases 23 Week 6 high school games from across central Indiana, giving Carmel residents a quick way to see how regional rivals are shaping up this season.

Indianapolis' first Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area is now active (wthr.com) — Carmel residents may be interested to know Indianapolis has launched its first Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area in Irvington, part of a growing trend across central Indiana. State regulators say 60 DORAs are now active statewide, with communities from Carmel to Kokomo exploring or operating similar zones that let adults carry alcoholic drinks within marked outdoor boundaries.
