Vice President To Visit Plainfield Thurs. To Talk Tax Reform

Vice President Mike Pence will be in Plainfield Thursday to pitch the new GOP tax reform plan: Report

PLAINFIELD, IN — Vice President Mike Pence heads back to Indiana on Thursday to pitch tax reform in Plainfield the White House confirmed Wednesday morning, just over a month after President Donald Trump delivered a speech centered on the GOP's tax reform plan at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The White House reports Pence will be discuss the federal tax reform plan and will be joined by Gov. Eric Holcomb, Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta as they meet with families and Hoosier business leaders. This is set to begin after 5 p.m.

Some traffic tips for those in the area Thursday from the Plainfield Police Department, who tweeted, "Vice President Mike Pence will be visiting Plainfield this afternoon. Ronald Reagan Pkwy. and Stafford Rd. will be the only roadways affected. These two roads will be closed periodically lasting no longer than 5-10 minutes at a time. We appreciate your cooperation."

The vice president was in Indiana on Sept. 22 at the Flagship Enterprise Center in Anderson.

Pence also made a quick visit to Indianapolis last month to watch the Colts take on the 49ers and Peyton Manning's jersey be retired, but left before the game began due to several San Francisco players kneeling during the national anthem.
