The health department isn't naming the trap location so all residents stay vigilant, and they're reminding people the virus can range from mild fever to serious, potentially fatal neurological illness.

Displaced left turn causes traffic trouble in Evansville (tristatehomepage.com) โ Drivers in Evansville now have a new displaced left turn on the Lloyd Expressway at Cross Pointe and Eagle Crest, activated just weeks after a serious multi-vehicle crash there. Officials say the design should reduce dangerous T-bone collisions but warn residents to expect backups at first and urge patience as signals are adjusted and out-of-town drivers learn the new pattern.

5. 2026 Easterseals Style Show Coming to Evansville October 1 (newstalk1280.com) โ A major fall fundraiser is headed to Evansville as the 2026 Easterseals Style Show takes over Warehouse 410 on October 1 with a Sip & Shop at 4 p.m. and runway show at 5. Local models, boutiques, and restaurants will help raise money so Easterseals can continue providing therapy, education, and support to thousands of Tri-State residents with disabilities.
