Ikea Fishers Opens Wednesday, Oct. 11

FISHERS, IN - The City of Fishers made a long-awaited announcement Tuesday, reporting the grand opening for the new Ikea location will take place 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11. The FishersIN Twitter account, @FishersIN tweeted the following news Tuesday morning: "Just in: @IKEAFishers grand opening set for 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11th! Learn about plans online: http://www.ikea-usa.com/fishers #FishersIKEA," an update many local residents have been waiting for.

With Ikea's anticipated fall opening in Fishers, comes plenty of job opportunities.

250 job opportunities to be exact, as the company is currently accepting applications, including 50 kitchen jobs, as reported by Indy Star.

Ikea's massive location sits right off the East side of Interstate 69, near a new Indianapolis-area location of Top Golf, and will have plenty of parking for customers. Positions include customer service, cashiers, furnishings sales, child play area, and employees who work at least 20 hours a week will be offered full dental and medical benefits, mentoring, savings plan, as well as paid time off and shopping discounts, Indy Star reports.
