Fishers Police Arrest Three Teens In Sept. 21 Shooting Investigation

FISHERS, IN – Fishers Police Chief Mitch Thompson has announced an arrest has been made in the Sept. 21 shooting investigation of a man who was found shot last week behind a business near 131st and State Road 37. Officials report over the past week Fishers Police Detectives have been working hard to identify and locate the person(s) responsible for shooting 18-year-old Jose Gomez from Fishers last Thursday. The man was hospitalized after what police believe was not a random attack.
Fishers police said detectives were able to identify several people that had knowledge of the shooting. Divers from the Fishers Police and Fire Department Dive Team located a gun they believed was used in the shooting during a search last Saturday in a retention pond off of 116th and Hazel Dell Road.
Police say the Hamilton County Superior Court issued search warrants on Wednesday for three suspects, who authorities located in Marion County. These suspects were taken into police custody

- Alan Mendez, 17, Indianapolis: Filed into adult court on several felony and misdemeanor charges including attempted murder, robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, armed robbery, aggravated battery, dangerous possession of a firearm, intimidation, pointing a firearm at a person, theft, carrying a firearm without a permit, enhancement for use of a firearm. He's being held at the Hamilton County Jail.
- Ivan Jeronimo, 18, Indianapolis: Being held at the Hamilton County Jail on several felony and misdemeanor charges including robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, Aiding, Inducing or Causing, a Level 2 Felony Robbery armed with a deadly weapon, Aiding, Inducing, or Causing, a Level 3 Felony Aggravated Battery, Aiding, Inducing, or Causing, a Level 3 Felony Theft, Aiding, Inducing, or Causing, an “A” Misdemeanor
- Alexander Lopez, 16, Indianapolis: Filed into adult court on several felony and misdemeanor charges Robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, Aiding, Inducing, or Causing, a Level 2 Felony Robbery armed with a deadly weapon, Aiding, Inducing, or Causing, a Level 3 Felony Aggravated Battery, Aiding, Inducing, or Causing, a Level 3 Felony Theft, Aiding, Inducing, or Causing, an “A” Misdemeanor.
