At the same meeting, the council honored Officer Todd Crowder for 35 years of service and Assistant Chief Mike Taylor for 20 years with the Fishers Police Department, highlighting the city's growth and long-term public safety commitment.

Fishers Century Club picks SERVE for quarterly donation (youarecurrent.com) — Fishers residents may want to know that Fishers Century Club members chose SERVE Village for their latest quarterly donation, expected to total $3,000 to $4,000 for ongoing flood recovery work across Hamilton County. The club, which meets in Fishers and supports local nonprofits, is still collecting contributions and inviting additional donors through its online giving platform and upcoming December meeting.

Shifting sands: Fishers mayor presents 2027 budget in the face of changing tax laws (youarecurrent.com) — Fishers homeowners should know Mayor Scott Fadness has proposed a 2027 city budget that includes a 6.7-cent property tax rate increase, 3% employee raises, and more funding for first responders, nonprofits, and neighborhood grants. City leaders say rising homestead deductions will lower assessed values even as Fishers continues investing in parks, roads, AgriPark West, and the Fishers Community Center, with a final council vote set for Oct. 12.
