Plans For Fishers Amphitheater Project Announced
DETAILS: What the $6 million project will add to the Fishers downtown district.

FISHERS, IN β Just a few months after Fishers city officials solicited a bid for a $6 million Nickel Plate District Amphitheater project, new details about the project are being released. IndyStar reports city officials plan to remake the downtown area's big lawn into park consisting of a water plaza during the summer, ice skating in the winter, a pavilion and a playground climbing wall. This design was proposed by Radio Architects and would also increase the amphitheater's size, allowing for bigger acts to come and perform, according to IndyStar, also adding the proposal goes before the Board of Public Works and Safety Monday.
It's part of Fishers plan to make the Nickel Plate District an area for several different activities and experiences. This comes a week after Fishers was named Money magazine's "Best Place to Live in America."
