Docs: Indy woman found to be performing sex acts with minor after hidden camera installed (fox59.com) — Greenwood police are investigating a serious allegation that an Indianapolis woman engaged in sexual misconduct with a minor living in a Greenwood home, after a hidden camera reportedly captured late-night encounters. The woman faces a felony charge in Johnson County, with bond set and an initial hearing scheduled, while investigators continue gathering evidence and statements.
   

2. Semi-trucks could be banned on Sheek Road in Greenwood (dailyjournal.net) — Semi-trucks may soon be banned from Sheek Road as Greenwood City Council considers an ordinance prompted by safety concerns from a local resident. With homes, Ray Crowe Elementary, and Greenwood Bible Baptist Church along the route, officials are weighing whether heavy truck traffic should be shifted to Worthsville Road instead, with a final vote possible by May 18.
   

3. 2026-04-21 Daily Journal 60159378 (dailyjournal.net) — Greenwood is seeking proposals from qualified environmental contractors by May 12 for Phase I and II environmental site assessments and cleanup planning funded by a federal Brownfields grant. Local firms can download full RFP details from the city’s Planning Division website and must submit sealed responses to City Hall on South Madison Avenue by the deadline.
   

4. Family makes plea for answers after man's body found in Greenwood drainage ditch (wthr.com) — Greenwood police are asking residents to help piece together how a 70-year-old New Whiteland man with dementia ended up in a drainage ditch off State Road 135 months after he disappeared. Family members are urging anyone with security footage from late August to mid-September 2025 along SR 135, Tracy Road, or US 31 to review it and share possible sightings with investigators.
   

5. Thieves target dozens of vehicles in Franklin Township and Greenwood (wishtv.com) — Police say a crew shattered windows and broke into dozens of vehicles in Greenwood and Franklin Township over the weekend, and investigators believe at least one suspect was armed. Southeast-side neighborhoods, including newer subdivisions, are rattled and turning to security cameras while IMPD’s Southeast District asks residents to share any doorbell or surveillance footage from Saturday night into Sunday morning.
