• Former fire chief chosen as new Greenwood council member (dailyjournal.net) — Greenwood just filled its District 3 council seat with former fire chief Darin Hoggatt, who will immediately help decide the fate of the proposed Buc-ee’s near Worthsville Road and I-65. Sworn in Thursday, he’ll join Monday’s packed council meeting on the Unified Development Ordinance, riverfront districts, next year’s budget and salaries, and the Buc-ee’s project’s traffic concerns.
