The Warriors enter the event coming off a dominant sweep of Northern Michigan, highlighted by their best hitting percentage in more than five years. 
• Veterans, riders among those gathered to honor fallen Lansing airman (thelansingjournal.org) — Community members and veterans gathered outside Cabela's in Hammond as Patriot Guard Riders escorted the remains of Staff Sgt. Lucas VanderWoude, a TF South graduate who died while serving in the Air Force. Local officials, friends, and fellow veterans shared memories and emphasized that anyone in Hammond can honor service members simply by showing up and holding a flag.
