• Hobart Man Charged With Armed Criminal Confinement After NWR SWAT Response (regionnewssource.org) — A Hobart man faces multiple felony charges after an armed standoff on North Guyer Street brought a large police perimeter and Northwest Regional SWAT to a neighborhood in the early hours of October 1. Investigators say a woman and three young people sheltered in fear as the suspect allegedly brandished several firearms, threatened a shootout with police, and was later arrested without injuries after officers recovered 14 guns.
