17 People Arrested In Drug Ring Connection Stretching from Indy to Muncie

PLUS: The other person Indiana State Police report is in custody following a parallel investigation.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Indiana State Police report 17 people are behind bars for their connection to a narcotics operation spanning from Muncie to Indianapolis. ISP said the multi-agency drug investigation begin in March 2017 and police officials served 14 search warrants this week. Police were able to seize one pound of heroin, five ounces of methamphetamine, 20 grams of cocaine, 15 pounds of marijuana, seven handguns (including one stolen), three rifles, one shotgun and just under $90,000 in suspected drug money, according to ISP.

ISP reports the search warrants were executed in a group effort with the Muncie Police Department's Narcotics Unit, the Marion County Prosecutor's Office, The Daleware County Prosecutor's Office, Department of Homeland Security Investigations, Indiana State Police SWAT, Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Investigators and Troopers from both the Indianapolis and Pendleton Districts.
