Shawn Langdon, Ron Capps, Matt Hartford, and Matt Smith secured No. 1 qualifying spots, while Jack Beckman captured the Funny Car All-Star Call Out, setting up a high-stakes Labor Day showdown in Indianapolis.
4. ICE protests held in Indianapolis after increase in reports of arrests (wfyi.org) — Indianapolis residents saw a surge of visible ICE enforcement this past week, prompting protests near the agency's west side office and a nearby hotel where agents were believed to be staying. Local organizers say arrests and detentions are spreading fear in immigrant neighborhoods, while federal officials declined to confirm how many people were picked up in the city or state.
