IMPD investigating after triple shooting at west side apartment complex (wishtv.com) — Three people were shot Sunday night at The Plaza At Central Greens apartments on West Washington Street on Indianapolis' near west side, with two victims in stable condition and one critically hurt. IMPD is still investigating what led to the gunfire and whether it happened inside or outside the complex, so neighbors should expect an active police presence and ongoing updates.
   

2. BUTTER Fine Art Fair connects art and history (wthr.com) — Indianapolis art lovers just wrapped up a weekend with the BUTTER Fine Art Fair, which brought 53 artists, nine galleries, and 200 works to town, including interactive pieces honoring women who trained Tuskegee Airmen. Visitors could scan QR codes to see historical aviation stories come alive, while organizers emphasized building community connections through Black art and shared conversations.

(bangshift.com) — Top NHRA drivers are battling today at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, where eliminations for the U.S. Nationals start at 10 a.m. Eastern. Shawn Langdon, Ron Capps, Matt Hartford, and Matt Smith secured No. 1 qualifying spots, while Jack Beckman captured the Funny Car All-Star Call Out, setting up a high-stakes Labor Day showdown in Indianapolis.
   

4. ICE protests held in Indianapolis after increase in reports of arrests (wfyi.org) — Indianapolis residents saw a surge of visible ICE enforcement this past week, prompting protests near the agency's west side office and a nearby hotel where agents were believed to be staying. Local organizers say arrests and detentions are spreading fear in immigrant neighborhoods, while federal officials declined to confirm how many people were picked up in the city or state.
