2. IMPD leads annual prayer vigil for Indianapolis community (wthr.com) — An Indianapolis church hosted an IMPD-led prayer vigil where grieving families and officers came together to mourn loved ones lost to violence, overdoses, suicide, and illness. Speakers stressed that no one in Indianapolis should have to grieve alone, offering spiritual support and connection for residents coping with recent tragedies and ongoing hardship.
3. Gov. Braun celebrates opening of new Indiana State Archives Building (hctv1.com) — A new Indiana State Archives building has opened on West Ohio Street in downtown Indianapolis, giving residents a modern, permanent home for more than 200 years of state records. MAGIC IN HER CLASSROOM: Indianapolis teacher wins national award for 'messy, chaotic' civics lessons (indianacitizen.org) — An Indianapolis fifth-grade teacher at Kitley Intermediate in Franklin Township just earned one of only three national American Civic Education Teacher Awards for her hands-on civics lessons. Her students run mock Congresses, elections, and even write letters about local issues like potholes, giving Indianapolis kids an early, practical feel for citizenship and government.
5. Hoosier Lottery Mega Millions, Cash 5 winning numbers for Sept. 25, 2026 (pal-item.com) — Indianapolis lottery players can now check the Sept. 25 Mega Millions, Cash 5, and other Hoosier Lottery winning numbers, plus see how and where to claim prizes. Smaller wins can be redeemed at retailers, but bigger jackpots require visiting or mailing claims to Hoosier Lottery headquarters on North Meridian Street in Indianapolis within 180 days.
