Colts Fire Coach Chuck Pagano After Six Seasons
Indianapolis Colts fire head coach Chuck Pagano after missing playoffs three times since 2012.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The Indianapolis Colts announced they've fired head coach Chuck Pagano after six seasons. The news comes as the 4-12 Colts had their worst season since finishing 2-14 in 2011 and have missed the playoffs for the last three seasons, ESPN reports. Pagano coached his way through a season that was without quarterback Andrew Luck because of a shoulder injury.
Pagano arrived in Indianapolis for the head coaching job in 2012, after being defensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens, the team's first year without Peyton Manning, ESPN reports.
Pagano was diagnosed with leukemia in 2012 and missed weeks five through 16 of the season, but returned for the last week of the regular season and helped the Colts finish 11-5, losing to the Baltimore Ravens in the wild-card playoff round.
