INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The Associated Press reports FBI Director Christopher A. Wray has appointed a counterterrorism expert to be the top bureau official in Indianapolis. This week Wray named Bradley "Grant" Mendenhall named special agent in charge of the Indianapolis Division beginning in February, AP reports. The news outlet adds Mendenhall most recently served as the assistant director of the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division.
Mendenhall will succeed Jay Abbott, who's retiring at the end of next month.
Mendenhall, an Indiana native, joined the FBI as a special agent in 1990.
