Fishers Police Arrest Two Men For Theft
More: The number of thefts Fishers police say two suspects were arrested for early Sunday.
FISHERS, IN — Fishers police say they've arrested two men after investigating a string of vehicle break-in reports Sunday morning. 28-year-old Jeremiah Gilliam and 27-year-old Joseph Scott II, both from Indianapolis, are facing several charges including resisting law enforcement, theft and unauthorized entry into a vehicle, according to police. Police report Gilliam is also being charged with possession of cocaine.
According to police, officers responded to a call from a resident in the area of Sun River Drive (116th Street and Allisonville Road), who saw two suspicious men walking in the neighborhood. The resident said items were missing from their vehicle, police report.
Fishers police say an officer approached the men two hours later when they were seen running across Allisonville Road, but the pair escaped. They were located shortly after while hiding in a tree line, and were taken into custody, police report.

Police say officers recovered several stolen items as the investigation revealed the men were involved in ten thefts from vehicles in the Fishers area. Both Gilliam and Scott are being held at the Hamilton County Jail.
