IFD Responds To College Ave. Condo Fire

What man told IFD crews after fire started inside College Avenue Condo: Report

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Indianapolis Fire Department responded to a condo fire on N. College Avenue just after 2:30 a.m. Saturday. IFD says they found smoke and fire in condo #7 after arriving at the two-story College Avenue Condo building, as the man who lived there told firefighters he was cooking food on the stove and is unsure how the fire started. IFD says he was transported to Eskenazi to be checked due to a slight injury.

IFD says there is $80,000 worth of damage, including slight water damage to the garage area in the condo next door. However, IFD says no smoke or fire got into the condo next door and other units in the building thanks to an aggressive attack by crews.
