IMPD Asks For Help Identifying, Locating 'Person Of Interest'
IMPD detectives need the public's help in locating and identifying the person seen in security footage with murder victim Erodney Davis.
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says homicide detectives are asking for the public's help in locating and identifying the person pictured in these security camera images as part of an investigation in the July 30, 2017 murder of Erodney Davis. According to IMPD, the photos are from the IHOP restaurant located in the 6900 block of W. 38th Street, and refer the murder case. IMPD says Davis was shot in an apartment complex parking lot in the 2100 block of Shelburne Drive at 3:48 a.m. that morning.
According to IMPD the images from the IHOP location show Davis (average size black male with long bound dreads, red shirt, red shorts, red/white shoes), and a "person of interest" (heavy set black male with tan or grey hat, grey shirt, thick gold chain, and blue jeans).
According to police Davis' red Chevrolet Impala had been set on fire and was found in another apartment complex in the 2000 block of Manchester Lane, which they say is located near the homicide scene.
