Indiana Man Sexually Abused Sleeping Girls In Chicago Homes: Cops
An Indiana man has been arrested in connection to home invasions in Chicago in which two young girls were assaulted.

BLOOMINGTON, IN — An Indiana man has been arrested in connection with sexual assaults and home invasions in Chicago, police said. Police said they've arrested Hunter Best, 25, of Bloomington, who was extradited from Indiana and charged with aggravated sexual abuse, home invasion and criminal trespassing, which are all felonies.
Police said Best broke into two homes in Lincoln Park on May 27 and assaulted two young girls who were sleeping in their bedrooms.
Police said Best broke into a home in the 400 block of West Belden around 2 a.m. and sexually abused a 13-year-old girl while she slept in her bedroom. Around 20 minutes later, police said he broke into another home in the 500 block of West Grant Place, where he allegedly assaulted an 11-year-old girl.

"Our entire community expresses its gratitude to the Chicago Police in the 18th District and the Detective Division who worked on this case so aggressively," Ald. Michele Smith said in a community update. "The videos obtained from the community proved crucial to the apprehension of this offender."
Police released two surveillance videos of a person of interest, both of which showed a suspect walking in Lincoln Park around the time of the assaults.

Best is scheduled to appear in bond court on July 18.
