Indianapolis Colts Hire Josh McDaniels As Head Coach
The Indianapolis Colts announce they've hired Josh McDaniels as their new head coach: Report

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- The Indianapolis Colts have hired Josh McDaniels as the team's new head coach. Just two days after the New England Patriots played in Super Bowl LII under the direction of offensive coordinator McDaniels, the Colts say he will now be their head coach. The announcement came Tuesday morning, less than two months after the Colts fired former head coach Chuck Pagano on New Year's Eve, after six seasons.
McDaniels will reunite with Jacoby Brissett, who he worked with for almost 16 months in New England after returning there in 2012, AP reports. That's where McDaniels' coaching contributed to six consecutive conference championship games and two Super Bowl wins. Before this he was with the Denver Broncos and the St. Louis Rams.
Remember the infamous "deflategate" AFC title game against the Colts and Patriots? McDaniels was with the Patriots during that big 2014 game.

Speculation of McDaniels becoming the Colts head coach came less than one month ago, however the decision could not be announced until the end of the Patriots' season, as they lost in Sunday night's Super Bowl LII to the Philadelphia Eagles.
This exciting news comes just two days after the Colts and the NFL became saddened by the death of 26-year-old Indianapolis linebacker, Edwin Jackson, and Uber driver Jeffrey Monroe, 54 were killed Sunday morning when an unlicensed, drunken driver barreled into a car the two were standing next to in the emergency shoulder of Interstate 70.
