Indianapolis Gets Extra Funds To Help With Pothole Repairs

Indianapolis City-County Council unanimously approves extra funding for city-wide pothole repairs: Report

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indianapolis City-County Council unanimously approved extra funds Monday for Mayor Joe Hogsett's pothole repair plan, AP News reports. The news report says the approved $14.5 million dollars for the plan introduced last month is in addition to the $88 million in city funding already set aside for road improvements this year. This comes as the city has already received thousands of service requests for pothole repairs since the start of this year.

The additional $14.5 million includes $13 million from the city's rainy day fund and $1.5 million in existing public work funds.
