Will I receive a new P-EBT card or do I keep the previous P-EBT card?
It is critical parents keep the card issued last September, as all benefits issued during the approved P-EBT issuance timeframe (October 2020 – September 2021) will be issued on this initial card. This is a change from the previous P-EBT issuances where new cards were mailed with each P-EBT issuance.
Only newly identified students at each quarterly issuance will receive a new P-EBT card. The parents of each student will need to retain this card in case eligible for future P-EBT benefits.
How much will my student receive in benefits?
The benefit amount is determined by the school based upon the number of days the student participated in virtual learning, was in quarantine, or was out of school due to COVID-19 illness for at least five consecutive school days or the school had a delayed start or closure for five consecutive days or more.
How were the qualifying students identified?
The parent/student data for those to receive a P-EBT card was provided by the IPS IT department via PowerSchool to FSSA. These funds were mailed to the primary address families had on file in PowerSchool. If your family has not received a card P-EBT card and was enrolled in IPS during the designated time frame, then you can update your mailing address with the Indiana Families and Social Services Administration (FSSA) HERE. Note – only students who were included on the original upload can correct their address. No new names can be submitted using this form.
Unfortunately, if your student was not enrolled in IPS at the time the PowerSchool data was collected in October, then there is no way for you to request a P-EBT card from FSSA.
