IndyHumane's Adorable, Adoptable 'Pets Of The Week'

PHOTOS: Pixie and Birdie Brunswick are featured this week as adoptable pets at Humane Society of Indianapolis, and one of them is free.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — It's always a happy Tuesday when IndyHumane shares their Pets of the Week, especially when this week's are Pixie and Birdie Brunswick (both pictured). Pixie is the shelter's featured dog of the week, and Birdie Brunswick is this week's cat. They're both described below:

The shelter describes Pixie as a female dog who is eight-and-a-half years old, and can be adopted for free. "She's a sweet, silly girl who enjoys calm petting and will give little kisses," IndyHumane said in a release. "She’s also very smart and already knows sit and shake. Pixie is looking for a quiet, low-traffic home where she can work on building confidence. But once she does, she’ll be your best friend forever! You can learn more about Pixie here!"

Birdie Brunswick is a female shelter cat at IndyHumane, who is four, and can be adopted for $40. The shelter describes Birdie as a big, confident kitty with a big personality. "She enjoys exploring her surroundings and playing, but then she’s ready for cuddles and nap time," the shelter said in a release. "However, because of her extra fluff, her adopters will need to commit to a diet and exercise plan for her! Learn more about Birdie here!"
