Georgia Southern University's commencement ceremony was filled with cheers Saturday when the parents of late Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson took the stage to accept their son's honorary posthumous degree. Georgia Southern Football, a team to which Jackson belonged during his college career, tweeted a video Saturday of the moments Jackson's parents were presented with his honorary degree in recognition of his academic achievement.

Wesley and Mary Jackson lost their 26-year-old son in February when he and an Uber driver were struck and killed on the side of I-70 by a Ford F-150 pickup truck.

As you can see at the end of the video posted on the football team's Twitter account, Mr. Jackson and his wife walked off the stage, he yelled, "Georgia!" to which the crowd replied, "Southern!"
