INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- Indianapolis Colts owner and CEO Jim Irsay will pay for the funerals of Colts player Edwin Jackson and Uber driver Jeffrey Monroe, both killed Sunday morning in a drunk-driving crash on I-70. Several media outlets say the Indianapolis Colts confirmed Tuesday that Irsay will be taking care of all expenses for both Monroe's and Jackson's funerals.
Following news of Jackson's death, Irsay said on Twitter Sunday that Jackson was a terrific young man who was respected and liked by all.
"Our hearts and prayers are with Edwin Jackson's family," he said.

26-year-old Jackson and 54-year-old Monroe were killed by Manuel Orrego-Savala, 37, Sunday morning when he crashed a black Ford F-150 pickup truck into the rear of the car driven by Monroe, hitting both men.
Monroe was driving Jackson when the Colts player became ill, and both stepped out of the car on the side of I-70 just west of Holt Road before the incident occurred.

WXIN reports Monroe also worked for Allison Payment Systems for about 20 years, where a longtime co-worker said he will be "very missed."
According to ISP, 37-year-old Orrego-Savala is in the United States illegally and has previously been deported twice — once in 2007 and again in 2009. ISP says Orrego-Savala was arrested after fleeing the scene and is being held in the Marion County jail while the police work with U.S. federal immigration officials.
