Pat McAfee Tweets Out Story Of Infamous 2010 Arrest

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Most people wake up Friday feeling excited for the weekend, thinking about all to come for the next 72 hours. Former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee chose to take his mind - and us - a different, but necessary route Friday morning when he tweeted out an exact timeline of his arrest seven years ago today. Colts fans, and NFL fans in general, can probably remember when McAfee, who was 23 at the time, was arrested for public intoxication and suspended for one game when he chose to jump in a city canal after a night of drinking.

"7 yrs ago, at this exact minute, I was sitting in solitary confinement thinking 'You can’t be buying 100 shots of tequila on Tuesday’s Pat,'" was tweeted by Pat on his Twitter account, @PatMcAfeeShow, at 9:52 a.m. Friday morning.

According to Barstool Sports, the police report of McAfee's arrest claimed the NFL player was asked whether he was swimming in the canal and answered, “I am not sure.”

"When he was asked why he was wet, McAfee responded, 'It was raining,' Barstool Sports reports. "When he was asked where his shirt was, McAfee said, 'In the water.' And when he was asked how much he had to drink, McAfee said, 'A lot ’cause I’m drunk.'

McAfee has retired from the NFL, but still entertains as a comedian and a member of the Barstool Heartland team.
