Colts release statement after Robert Mathis was arrested for drunk driving early Tuesday: Report

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Just a month into his role as "Pass Rush Specialist" for the Indianapolis Colts, former team pass-rusher Robert Mathis was arrested early Tuesday morning for drunk driving in Carmel, according to a release from Carmel Police Department officials. Police say 36-year-old Mathis was pulled over just after midnight by officers in the Carmel area of Bishop Circle and Windemere Blvd., for traveling the wrong way on a one-way street, in addition to failing to use a turn signal. Police say Mathis was arrested for operating while intoxicated, and taken to the Hamilton County Jail.

"We are aware of the incident involving Robert Mathis last night," the Colts said in a statement. "We are in the process of gathering more information and have no further comment at this time."
