• Man charged in Jasper Public Library vandalism (duboiscountyfreepress.com) — A Jasper resident has been charged in connection with broken windows and attempted damage at the Jasper Public Library during the early hours of May 6. Police allege the suspect later discarded clothing tied to the incident and gave false statements before being arrested and taken to the Dubois County Security Center.
   

• WBDC Country Showdown ticket sales to benefit Dubois County 4-H Council (duboiscountyfreepress.com) — Jasper residents can now buy tickets for the June 5 WBDC Country Showdown at the Jasper Arts Center, with part of each advance ticket supporting the Dubois County 4-H Council. Local performers, including contestants from Jasper and nearby towns, will compete for cash, prizes, and a chance to play at the Indiana State Fair.
   

• Porcelain power: Area artists celebrate America 250 with china-painting project (dailyjournal.net) — Jasper residents can see the Indiana State Parks Platter Project at the Dubois County Museum from July 6–24, showcasing hand-painted porcelain scenes from all 25 state parks. Created for America’s 250th anniversary, the touring collection highlights Indiana’s natural beauty while promoting the state’s long tradition of china painting. Additional stops span libraries, arts centers, and major events statewide.
