Central Catholic German teacher awarded for going above and beyond (wlfi.com) — Students at Lafayette Central Catholic are celebrating German teacher Kristen Weintraut, who just won Custom Ink's "Unsung Heroes" award for her dedication in and out of the classroom. She spends weekends fundraising so every interested student can afford travel abroad, and plans to use the $5,000 prize to further support school activities like prom or trips.
4. Twin Lakes' win over Central Catholic gives Kevin O'Shea a reflective night (jconline.com) — Lafayette Central Catholic's football team fell 38-14 to Twin Lakes in Monticello, but the matchup gave former Knights coach Kevin O'Shea a chance to reflect on coaching his now-grown former players.
