• Lake County Commissioners endorse I-65/IN-2 economic development area (nwitimes.com) — A newly endorsed 850-acre economic development area along I-65 and State Road 2 could bring major infrastructure upgrades and future businesses just outside Lowell. Lake County commissioners unanimously backed the district to support John Deere's planned warehouse and additional development, positioning southeastern Lake County for significant growth after a summer marked by severe weather and other regional changes.
