• Council rejects resolutions to censure Courtney, demote Bartlett (madisoncourier.com) — Madison City Council declined to advance resolutions targeting Mayor Bob Courtney and Council President Jim Bartlett, but did move forward by creating a professional conduct committee. Council also accepted a $500,000 Bethany Legacy Foundation grant for new park investments downtown in 2026 and on the hilltop in 2027, and heard updates on the city’s urban forestry plan.
