U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 095-33-02, Michigan City, is teaming with B & E Marine Inc, 31 Lake Shore Drive, Michigan City, Indiana, to provide the 8-hour Boat America Class. The date is Saturday, April 25th, 9:00am - 5:00pm. The class covers; boat types, safety gear, navigation rules (buoys, aids), federal and state laws, emergency procedures (man overboard, hypothermia), and safe operation.
The cost of the course is $20 (Cash or Check) and is payable at the door. Registration is required and can be done by sending an email to brdr94@msn.com. Please register by Monday, April 20th.
The Coast Guard Auxiliary Boating Safety Course is recognized in all 50 states as meeting Boater Education requirements. Also, many insurers give discounts on boat insurance to those who take and pass the course. But most importantly, you will gain important knowledge that will keep you and others safe as you enjoy your time out on the water.
