The notice details a foreclosure-related auction of about eight acres near Rolling Prairie, including the legal description, common address, and parcel information for interested bidders or affected parties.
4. Woman sentenced for embezzling from American Legion to gamble (wsbt.com) — Leadership at the American Legion Skwiat Post #451 in Michigan City sought full repayment after a former volunteer financial officer admitted stealing tens of thousands of dollars. A La Porte woman was sentenced to a short jail term plus lengthy probation, with strict monthly repayment requirements and the threat of more incarceration if she fails to pay.
