• Sellersburg man arrested on alcohol charges after traffic stop (wbiw.com) — A driver was arrested in Mitchell after witnesses reported a gray Audi swerving across Highway 60 East and pulling into the grass near the Mitchell VFW. Police say the man showed signs of extreme impairment and later recorded a blood alcohol level far above Indiana’s legal limit. • Mitchell father facing felony charges after infant suffers multiple fractures (wbiw.com) — A Mitchell father has been charged with serious felonies after doctors discovered multiple fractures in his 6‑week‑old daughter, prompting an investigation by Lawrence County authorities. The child was transferred to Riley Children’s Hospital, and the Department of Child Services continues to monitor her safety while the case proceeds in court, where the defendant remains presumed innocent.
