Hamilton County Under Orange Level Travel Watch
Travel advisory elevated to Orange Level Travel Watch in Hamilton County as Government offices and schools are closed today: Report

HAMILTON COUNTY, IN -- The Yellow Travel Advisory recently issued for roads in unincorporated areas of Hamilton County by the county's sheriff's office has been elevated to an orange level Travel Watch. According to Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, a Travel Watch means that conditions are threatening to the safety of the public. HCSO adds that during a watch - local travel advisory - only essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations, is recommended. Emergency action plans should be implemented by businesses, schools, government agencies, and other organizations.
Officials have closed Hamilton County government offices on Friday, January 12. Offices will reopen on Monday.
