Noblesville residents split over proposed 191st St. Wawa (youarecurrent.com) — A proposed Wawa gas station at 10113 E. 191st Street is headed to the Noblesville Plan Commission on Sept. 21, with neighbors sharply divided over convenience, traffic, and environmental risks. Some residents welcome closer access to fuel and food, while others cite benzene exposure, wellhead protection concerns, and congestion on the Ind. 37 corridor as reasons to slow or reject the project.

Hamilton East library cards unlock September deals at more than 40 businesses (larryinfishers.com) — Noblesville residents with a Hamilton East Public Library card can unlock September-only discounts at more than 40 local and nearby businesses, including 20% off beverages at Indie Coffee Roasters in Noblesville. The "Show Your Card and Save" campaign runs through Sept. 30, and residents can sign up or renew cards at the Noblesville branch or online.
   

3. Fishers mayor, police chief among Cherish award recipients (youarecurrent.com) — Noblesville Police Department was recognized alongside Westfield and other agencies at The Cherish Center's annual awards breakfast for their work on Hamilton County's child abuse multidisciplinary team. The event honored officers, prosecutors, advocates, and community partners whose efforts support vulnerable children and highlighted long-term supporters and servant leaders from across the county.
   

4. Severe storms cause lasting impacts for Indiana residents (thebutlercollegian.com) — Noblesville residents are still dealing with serious fallout from the Aug. 11 derecho, including homes destroyed by flooding and weeks-long power outages that disrupted work, food access, and daily life. The story details how storms battered both northwest and central Indiana, criticizes slow utility response, and notes that a federal disaster declaration is now bringing some relief and resources for rebuilding.
